In the tech industry, there are legacy terms commonly used that are racist, ableist, or sexist (or all three). We’ll talk about how to identify and remove those words and phrases so that our inclusion practices extend to everyone interacting with our code and reading our documentation. I’ll share examples of language we are looking to eliminate and the inclusive alternatives; challenges you may encounter; and resources you can use to tackle this in your org. Since this initiatives are always a work in progress, this will include plenty of open discussion so we can learn from each other.
