An Introvert’s Guide to Surviving Dreamin Events, Dreamforce, and User Groups

Like at least half of Salesforce professionals I’m primarily an introvert. Being in large groups and public settings often drains my energy. Nonetheless, I’ve learned to thrive at events like Dreamins, user groups, TDX, and even Dreamforce. I cringe at the idea of a cocktail reception. I’m the first one ready to leave any party. (And don’t even consider dragging me to a bar! I’ve always hated that.) But put me in a room with the Salesforce Ohana and you’ll see that I come alive. Most people, in fact, conclude that I must be an extreme extrovert. Nope. I tick all the boxes for a classic introvert. (I’m clearly not shy, that’s not the same thing.).

I want to inspire people to find their success in the Salesforce ecosystem by making professional connections and true friends through community events. I’ll share strategies from small tips to wider perspective shifts that introverts and extroverts alike can adopt.
